The excitement is building for Rumney Old Home Day on Saturday, August 10th! Join us at the Byron G. Merrill Library for our Annual Book Sale beginning at 9am. We have many popular fiction, non-fiction, children's books, cookbooks and more to choose from. Donations are still being accepted so clear out your previously-read books today! The library will have extended hours on Old Home Day and we invite you to browse our stacks as and have fun looking at old scrapbooks on display that have been compiled from town events over the years.
Our 5th Storytime in the the series, Dig Into Reading will be held on Wednesday, August 7th at 3:30pm. Children of all ages will enjoy their time together as we read about fairies and fantasy. Wednesday, August 14th will be our 6th and final summer storytime and we will have a "Rockin' Good Time" learning about rocks and minerals and having a wrap-up party outside, weather permitting.
The knitting group continues through the summer and meets again on Thursday, August 8th at 2:00pm. Folks of all ages and abilities are invited to come with their current projects and enjoy the conversation, tea, and goodies.
Third Thursday in the Village will be on Thursday, August 15 from 6-8pm. Come enjoy sitting by the fountain, browse through the Library, and visit the displays at the Historical Society. The Rumney Historical Society will present a special program on Stinson Lake Through the Years at 7:00pm. Join us as several speakers present their memories of people, camps and special times of summers past on the lake.
