February will soon be here and several events will be taking place at the library.
Saturday - February 1st 10am - 1 pm - National Take Your child to the Library Day contact: Rachel Anderson at rsanderson@gmail.com In honor of this special day you are invited to come to the library for free activities, snacks, and more. You will be able to sign up for your very own library card and enter our bookmark coloring contest. Fun, fun, fun! Studies have shown that people who read for pleasure have an easier time learning and understanding math, geography, history, and every other academic subject. Coming to the library might be your first step to the life you always wanted!
Wednesday - February 5th 3-4:30 - Lego Time! Contact: Susan Turbyne at rumneylibrary@roadrunner.com All ages are invited to come and create. Our February theme will be Wacky Winter Transports.
Thursday - February 13th 2-3:30 - BGM Knitting Society Contact: Susan Turbyne at rumneylibrary@roadrunner.com Join a group of fun knitters. Work on your projects, get advice and enjoy a cup of tea. Other needle projects are welcome. At our February get-together we will decorate Valentine's Day cookies and make a card for that "special" person in your life. Hope you can join us!
The Byron G Merrill Library, located at 10 Buffalo Road in Rumney Village is open three days a week:Wednesdays 2 until 6, Thursdays 10 until noon and 2 until 6, and Saturdays 10 until 2.
