... was such a special evening for the Library Ladies! The Aladdin lamps gave a beautiful glow to the Byron G. Merrill Library during our Annual Holiday Open House last week. It was a fun, festive evening with children singing and lots of neighbors visiting. We want to thank several people for their contributions to the event. Roger Daniels brought his collection of antique lamps which created a beautiful atmosphere, "Rhubarb Pie" added to the festivities with their live music, and Richard Moses read aloud "The Gift of the Magi". Children entertained us with a Christmas carol choir led by Pastor Steve Angela, and Lee Hunter gave an entertaining version of "Twas the Night Before Christmas." Many others helped with decorations, donating goodies, serving and more. Thank you all so much. January newsletters are out and available to pick up the next time you come to the library. We are excited to jump into the new year with a Star Wars theme to our storytime, teen craft day and family movie night.
