Happy 2016! At last it feels like winter with the colder temperatures and a bit of white… just in time for our patrons to settle in for some good winter reads…and we have a lot to choose from! Stop in for a good selection… We are open Wednesdays from 1 until 5, Thursdays from 10 until 5 and Saturdays from 10 until 1. This coming week will be a busy one for us with activities and events planned for all ages… First up will be the Ladies Book Club discussion on Tuesday at 7 PM here at the library. We are reading Following Atticus by Tom Ryan still have a couple more books available so join us if you would like. Wednesday is Story Time… our pre-schoolers will meet on July 13th at 11 am for age appropriate stories, crafts and activities. Our grade schoolers will gather at 3 that afternoon as part of our Star Wars month… Not to be missed! Rachel has some fun things planned. Our Knitting Club will meet on Thursday, January 14th at 2. Bring along a project and join us for an hour of fun… enjoy a cup of tea, some of Polly’s cookies and some pleasant conversation. Rachel will be teaching us how to make her famous ‘ruffled scarf’! Even if you don’t have a project going you are still invited! Friday night will be our first family movie night… Friday, January 15th at 6:30. We will be going back to the beginning and showing the very first Star Wars movie… a fun family event. We could use a little help getting the downstairs ready and preparing the popcorn. We have a wonderful January Flyer to help you keep track of all of these dates. You are welcome to stop in and pick one up or send us an email and we will send it along to you that way. There is no time for the winter doldrums… just come to the library!
